2022 NOAA EPP/MSI Forum Call for Abstracts

The forum will highlight the important role of NOAA EPP/MSI and academic partners of the four Cooperative Science Centers as well as the role of scientific, social science, and natural resource managers.

Students, faculty, scientists, and policy makers are encouraged to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations of scientific and social science topics. The program will include plenary sessions, poster sessions, student development activities, and concurrent scientific sessions focused on NOAA’s Mission Goals which are:

Healthy Oceans – Presentations may include topics such as: fisheries, habitats, ecosystems, and physical processes of marine, coastal, and Great Lakes environments.

Weather-Ready Nation – Presentations may include topics such as: climate and weather monitoring and forecasting, protection of life and property during high-impact events, freshwater resource management, and air quality.

Resilient Coastal Communities and Economies – Presentations may include topics such as: ocean and coastal planning and management, coastal water quality and consequences on human health and coastal ecosystems, and community readiness for coastal hazards.

Climate Adaptation and Mitigation – Presentations may include topics such as: scientific understanding and impacts of the changing climate system, climate mitigation and adaptation, and climate literacy.
